Telecom Carnival at Telecom Derby Day

Come and enjoy the inaugural Telecom Carnival at Ellerslie, on Telecom Derby Day, March 6 2010.

The Telecom Carnival will turn Ellerslie’s infield into a festive picnic and party venue, featuring chart topping Kiwi band The Black Seeds supported by DJs Tim Phin and People of Paris.

People are encouraged to get the gang together, pack a picnic, pack the family, and help celebrate the start of the biggest week in the New Zealand sporting calendar, Auckland Cup Week.

Telecom is also shouting five ‘Ultimate Telecom Carnival Party’ packages. Simply go to the Carnival website www.telecomcarnival.co.nz to design your ultimate party, and then select up to nine friends to join in the fun to be in to win.

The Telecom Carnival also offers race goers one last opportunity to hear The Black Seeds before the band heads across the Tasman for a five-gig Australian tour.

While you can bring a picnic to the Carnival this is not a BYO alcohol event. A range of bars and food stalls will be operating throughout the day, and the Auckland Racing Club will offer overnight infield parking for Carnival goers.

Where to Park: Use Greenlane and Tecoma Street entrances to access the Telecom Carnival & park in the designated areas in the infield.
