iD Dunedin Fashion Week 2010

2010 marks the 11th year of iD Dunedin Fashion Week. The organisers of this successful not-for-profit, community event have worked hard to produce a magical week of thrills and excitement dedicated to fashion.

The city comes alive to celebrate its distinct style, fashion identity and industry, with collaboration between the local fashion sector, the tertiary institutions and the supporting industries which allow the fashion sector to grow and evolve.

Popular demand has seen the boutique iD Fashion Show expand to two consecutive nights, Friday 12 March and Saturday 13 March 2010. Hosted on the platform of the city’s captivating Railway Station, on a 110 metre long runway, the show offers a glamorous, world-class night out celebrating the best of Dunedin, New Zealand and emerging world fashion.

For the sixth year, the Emerging Designer Awards on Thursday 11 March 2010 offers a glimpse of the future, with some of the world’s most talented next generation designers. iD Dunedin Fashion Week offers emerging designers their first foray into the world of professional fashion shows. For many, it is their first contact with professional models, stylists and technical personnel and this experience sets them up for a lifetime of successful fashion events.
