Sunset ceremony and feast at Stonehenge Aotearoa, Saturday 20th March 2010 commencing at 6:45pm.
The coven of the Sacred Moon and the Frove of the Summer Stars invite you to a traditional harvest ritual to celebrate and give thanks for the bounty we have received. Join with us to experience the powerful acoustics in the stone circle as we chant, whirl around in a spiral dance and partake in oastcakes and marrow and ginger wine.
We will then travel to Cafe Trends, Greytwon for a hearty harvest feast and a presentation from astronomer Richard Hall on the ancient star-lore and traditions surrounding the Autumn Equinox. After the meal there will be time to socialise, get to know other like-minded people, and listen to live folk singers.
Words cannot express the ceremony so you need to come and experience it for yourself, go home feeling renewed, grounded and ready to take on the world.
Cost (includes ceremony at Stonehenge, harvest feast, presentation and music at Trends): Adults $40, Children (pre-teens) $20, toddlers free.
Booking essential. Numbers limited.
