Almost all organ fans have heard the name Reginald Dixon, the famous Blackpool organist whose lively dance-tempo music and playing style was legend at the Wurlitzer organ of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom. Chris Powell is one of a handful of young British organists who keep Reg’s rhythmic and entertaining style very much alive and equally as popular today. He has become a much loved artist at the Hollywood Cinema and we open our 2010 season in very lively style when Chris brings Blackpool to Hollywood!
See "close up" on the giant screen, the organist making music on this unique pipe organ complete with its own percussion section of drums, cymbals, piano, harp, xylophone etc. All real "LIVE" percussion instruments - truly a one-man unit orchestra.
Tickets on sale at the door on the day from 1.15pm - ages 10-18 FREE with a paying adult.
