Proud Mary is throwing open the doors and calling everyone in. The new club night brings top talent both from Auckland and Australia, creating a dynamic new sound for girls to let loose.
“There has been nothing of this calibre for a long time” says Proud Mary “the night grew from an original idea to get some electrifying girls mixing some tracks, to a night with resident DJs, international acts and sultry burlesque.”
With dirty electro beats, the Melbourne based female duo Boy+Girl makes their New Zealand debut. With a résumé that reads like invites to the best parties around the world, the group mixes powerful vocals with electro tracks. Their sound has been pumping out of speakers in clubs through Europe, America, Sydney and Melbourne’s up and coming clubs.
Resident DJs will be spinning tracks into the small hours with Mtron Bomb a.k.a. Meltron fusing get-up Parisian house, get serious Berlin minimal and get-the-party-started New York Disco. She’s one hot spinner and if her looks don’t kill then her beats will.
Rebecca Maxine is one half of the DJ duo the Quay Street Social Club. They can be found playing a unique style of indie, electro and other gems on the QSSC George FM show and in clubs all over Auckland.
To top of the fearsome female electro lineup is BaseFM DJ Bridge who creates an eclectic mix of soul, funk, hip-hop and the occasional retro tune to take you back to your glory years.
Bringing a little sensuality to the evening will be the sultry Miss Led Petit. The recently crowned Burlesque Queen of New Zealand is breaking away from her very own burlesque troupe Petit Cheval to heat up the evening at Proud Mary with her very sexy 23-inch waist; Miss Petit lives up to her promise and her name.
“Burlesque to me is about entertainment for entertainment’s sake,” confides Miss Petit. “I love that it’s purely about the spectacle and the glamour. It harkens back to a softer time in the world of show business. It’s a delicate and feminine kind of naughtiness that I adore.”
The first Proud Mary will be the name on every girl’s lips, creating a very sexy evening with hot beats and an even hotter crowd.
