Great entries from everyone...seems to be a bit of housework going on with FFD in the background. The winners for this one are blissfulweds, Vicki Palmer and Matthew Watson...congratulations.

Just so happens im listening to FFD right now!! They are just totally awesome, good music to listen to all year round especially those late nights (ie. the all nighters) that are commonly pulled during university! Im stuck in "this room" all night long having "flashback"s of all the good times listening to FFD. This is all "Based on a true story" so i would "bounce" for joy if i could finally see FFD live!! Pure NZ music..

for me, fat freddy's = saving fish (i like that they like fish) and for allowing me to show off to all my friends in Amsterdam when they played a storming Paradiso gig. Half my mates went off and bought the album afterward. Buoyed up by the FFD wave, I was able to surf through another month of freezing temperatures before I returned to Aotearoa...

Fat Freddy's is NZ. They reminded me of the beauty and love of Aotearoa while I was overseas. Pure NZ summer sounds :)

I was actually introduced to FFD in Cairns AU three years ago. I moved from the US and fell in love with them listening to them over the PA while attending an Ash Grunwald concert. I've been hooked ever since and LOVE cleaning house and jamming out to them while wearin nuthin but my undies!

Would love to see them live to see how their creativity and passion for the music they play spark in front of a life audience. Love how the music is just so organic - they just love to play and it shows in the energy in their music, I love to lie on the couch and listen to them play, to concentrate on the music.

Fat Freddy,,,they are just brilliant....perfect for every occasion! They keep me mellow in heavy traffic, they rinse away my week as I wind down on a Friday evening...and are universally popular. WHen visiting my sister overseas, I introduced her to them and she LOVED them...fortunately her local sound shop had ONE last copy , so I could treat her to it. We catch up and often are both listening to our copies of that Fat Freddy disc...Fat Freddy relaxes, delights and bonds people of all ages!

FFD is one of the few NZ groups that my husband and I are equally fond of. Typically he is a ruga/R&B fan while I lean more toward the Runga sisters. Have yet to witnesss Fat Freddy's Drop live, and would love to as I hear they are as good on stage as in the studio.

On stage, Freddy’s fuse skanking urban Pacific roots, soul, dub, jazz and electronica into hypnotic and thunderous grooves. No two Freddy’s gigs are the same!!
These seven soul monsters are just an awesome live band, dropping the Freddy's voodoo to all ages and nationalities across NZ and around the world!!!

The music of Fat Freddys is just easy, laid back and cheery and I listen to it anytime. Their music is loved by all age groups and it's a pleasure to see my young teenage nephews moving to the beat. It just gives you a happy feeling!
