The Makutu on Mrs Jones/ Koro’s Hat

Young Tawhai Bennett gets a holiday job helping Mrs Jones deliver groceries to isolated farms. After a confrontation between Mrs Jones and Mr Hohepa, a tohunga, Tawhai fears that a curse will be put on her. Based on the short story by Witi Ihimaera. Directed, produced and written by Larry Parr.

For Koro, hats are part of the style of his generation. For Babe, hats are a fun way of dressing up. A story of the love between an old man and his granddaughter. Directed by Don Selwyn.
