Thirty five years of denial and guilt have left heavy scars on the family and in this gripping drama police inspector Sarah has to decide whether to pursue an investigation that will bring disgrace upon her father and possibly destroy her mother.
Jill Shearer is an Australian playwright with over 25 plays, both full-length and one-act, to her credit. Among her other works are The Boat, A Woman Like That, Ships That Pass and Shimada.
Tthe Family has been performed throughout Australia and in 2002 in New York making her the first Australian playwright on Broadway.
