For young and old alike, this exhibition, based on the imaginative book by award-winning author Margaret Wild, features original illustrations by David Waller. Showing farm animals acting as spirit guides, these illustrations help children deal with the sensitive issue of death in an inevitable and positive manner. Accompanied by explanations of the creative process, which seeks to express an overall feeling of gentleness and compassion, this unique exhibition brings to life the themes of friendship, life, loss and dreams come true.
This exhibition coincides with the Museum’s annual winter festival – Sampler Season. With 6 weeks of literary talks, kids' Saturdays, Sunday afternoon concerts and school holiday programmes there is something for people of all ages. Artist David Waller will also be at the Museum during the school holidays for private tours of this fabulous exhibition. See the Museum website for more details and a complete programme of these great events.
