"Claude Rains are Murray Hewitt (acoustic guitar and mahalo, vocals), Heather Weir (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Andrew Bain (bass), playing folksy alt-country cute punky beautifulness. Their musical influences include Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Ryan Adams, The Indigo Girls, The Clash, Billy Bragg, Connor Oberst, and anyone else who's awesome. They formed a year ago with a different line-up, and have recently added Andrew on bass. Claude Rains are three friends who go way back, who have been playing music over the years in different forms and who together create something special. Named after a Front Lawn song, their music is inspired by Aotearoa, our politics, our land and our relationships. They will be recording later in the year."
