The Waikanae Music Society presents young Czech virtuoso violinist Josef Spacek, winner of the 2009 Michael Hill International Violin Competition, in recital with acclaimed New Zealand pianist Michael Houstoun. The programme consists of Bach's Chaconne in D minor, Sonata (K305) by Mozart, Ballade by Ysaye, Wakatipu by Gareth Farr, Prokofiev's first sonata and From My Homeland by Smetana.
