Wondrous Waiheke - Wednesday 9th & Thursday10th June.
Take a two day tour of Auckland's own tropical-island paradise, including wine and olive tastings, fine dining and unsurpassed vistas. Tours includes accommodation, continental breakfast, two luncheons, wines, coach travel, ferries and connections.
• Wednesday 9th June
The coach departs from Spencer on Byron to connect with Fullers ferry to Waiheke. A scenic coach trip to lunch and tastings at one of Waiheke's acclaimed wineries. In the afternoon we will explore more of the island by coach, stopping at another of the island's notable wine producers. Check-in at the luxury apartment accommodation at The Sands Apartments, Onetangi Beach. The evening will be a wine & olive tastings followed by dinner at the renowned Cable Bay Vineyard.
• Thursday 10th June
There will be a scenic tour to tastings at another of Waiheke's incomparable wineries. Lunch will be at Te Whau Vineyards consistently voted by Wine Spectator as one of the world's finest restaurants, returning to Devonport late afternoon. In the evening we will dine casually at a Takapuna restaurant.
• Friday 11th June: Dalli Rally
One day tour of the west- Auckland wineries introducing the Dalmation fathers of the New Zealand wine industry. The coach leaves for Henderson valley and Mazurans Winery for tastings of their legendary port. Then to Babich Wines for more prize winning wines and even more yarns from Peter and Joe Babich.
The highlight of the day will be a Dalmation Spit Roast at Soljans Winery.
