As part of the Matariki regional programme for 2010, Toi Whenua presents, Te Taumata Exhibition Series 2010. Installation artist, Lonnie Hutchinson has been selected to present a body of work at Artstation for this exhibition series.

Four prominent Maori artists will each exhibit new and existing work in a local community gallery in one of Auckland’s regions (Manukau, North Shore City, Auckland city and Waitakere).

Lonnie Hutchinson (b.1963), of Ngai Tahu and Samoan ancestry, has a dynamic and mutli-faceted art practice. The artist ranges from painter, screen-printer, sculptor, mutlimedia and installation.
