Featuring four artists: Lynda Newman, Sita Schneeweiss, Brian Cole and Doreen Tipping.

New Plymouth artist Lynda Newman has a love of the natural environment and enjoys painting Taranaki coastal scenery and close-ups of wildlife and native fauna. Her work reflects a love of nature, colour and design, working mainly with acrylics on canvas.

Sita Schneeweiss was born and raised in Germany and moved to New Zealand 3 years ago. Her exposure to different cultures and customs have had a strong influence on her art and nature has provided a strong influence on her art as this is the place where she finds serenity. Sita's Website is: www.devi-art.com

For New Plymouth Artist Brian Cole this is his first exhibition. Brian has painted maybe two pieces per year and but hasn't chosen to sell any before. The set of paintings in this exhibition is based around early mornings at the Waiwhakaio river mouth and lagoon during the 2009 whitebait season the paintings are before the landscape changed, forever, with the new walkway bridge and the alterations to the footbridge and the rock formation where the famous Rock fishing spot has now gone.

Doreen Tipping is a self-taught artist specialising in watercolour paintings. Doreen loves traveling throughout New Zealand and appreciates the beautiful scenery, Doreen also has a love of animals and nature.
