Buz Bryant-Greene, former Nelsonian and student of Sarah Lewis and Mary Ayre, returns to Nelson this month with a Sunday afternoon piano recital at the Nelson School of Music.
Buz left Nelson to further his studies in 2003. Since that time he has won a national piano competition and performed extensively, including international appearances.
The 45-minute programme is a journey through the timelessness of Bach, the fire of Beethoven, the bravado of Liszt, and the delicate colours of Ravel.
There will also be a short treat in the form of a microscore by Wellington-based composer Robbie Ellis.
