It's back again for your winter mountain biking fix. The Run 77 MTB Pursuit is a 90km winter adventure mountain bike ride/race that takes you the entire way around Lake Tekapo.
It's famous for being tough! Not only the cold winter conditions, which can be ice, snow, rain, wind chill - or whatever is drawn out of the weather bag on the day. but add in two substantial river crossing where their waters are just a couple of degrees away from freezing - having just departed from the glaciers a few kilometers away.
There is also the 90km distance, quite a hike, but it's a great ride with unforgettable views into the Southern Alps. Fastest recorded time is 2hrs 59mins, but the average time is more like 4-5hrs.
