This is a fun charity wargaming event happening at the Freeman's Bay Community Hall, home of the Auckland City Guard Wargaming Club.
It's a day of spending cans of food for special rolls and abilities to play the games we love (40K, Fantasy, Warmachine/Hordes and Mordeheim.) with some Munchkin board games added to the mix.
The tournaments are fast and furious, the logo is CanOpener: Play like you've got a cause.
Entry into the event is $5 and 3 cans of human food. And each tournament has ways of cashing in more cans of food for special re-rolls etc. All the cans collected over the event will be donated to the City Mission for their mid winter can appeal.
To check out the tournament rules, and ways to sign up please check out the City Guard forums in the events section.
Or pop in anytime during Saturday to check out the event, spectators are free and if you want to bring some more cans to donate you wont be turned away.
See you on Saturday at CanOpener.
