The opening tubular bells of Chic’s ‘I Want Your Love’, Bianca Jagger’s entrance to Studio 54 on a white horse and the burning of vinyl at the Disco Demolition White Sox baseball game, are all defining moments in disco. A genre which has received both love and malice, has both divided and united, disco has waned and waxed into and out of favour but one thing has become certain... it is here to stay!

Enter Nu Disco, Hed Kandi’s natural evolution of our much-loved Disco Heaven series and the sound of Disco today.

The time has come for us to shed our halos, don our neons and swap strings for synths in this uber-cool disco adventure on two CDs.

Sweeping chords, filtered vocals and more than a sprinkling of seventies and eighties kitsch comes together to take us beyond the glitterball with high-vis fashion depicted perfectly by our illustrative virtuoso, Jason Brooks.

Aeroplane, Shazam, Fred Falke and Chromeo take up the Hed Kandi relay where Disco Heaven left off, making for an airy discotronic transition into this genre of the moment.
