If you head on down to the Ruby Saturday 10th July you are in for an evening of sophistication and jazz with a celebration of all the better things in life; good food, good wine and good company. Jazz music lovers and Francophiles and wine lovers will find this much to their taste and everyone who is forty-something bordering on older will know the lyrics of many of the tunes.

Sarah Bradley and Monica Louis met at the 2009 Whangamata Jazz Festival where an impromptu jam was welcomed so enthusiastically by the crowd that the two jazz divas decided to create a show. With Frenchman Maurice Louis as moderator, wine buff and sound engineer and soufleur and with Sarah’s love of all things French the musical “comedia del’arte” Wine, Women & Song started as a summer tour of house and lodge concerts.

Where Sarah refined her skills in New York where she studied at AMDA and performed at the cabaret hotspots like Eighty-Eight’s and Don’t Tell Mama, Monica studied in Amsterdam and London and toured Europe with the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Both share a love for the American songbook and all things French and the light-hearted show announces lot’s of audience participation, the French connection and top class performances from our song birds. They have “dropped“ a souvenir CD that will be available for sale on the night.

See you Saturday 10th July … And this is a show you can safely bring your ball room dancing nana to as well!
