In 2009, The Music & Artists' Social Club (MASC) had the inaugural Cinema SoundEX - an experimental experience where filmmakers made short films, which were given to composers to compose a soundtrack for. The second Cinema SoundEX asked composers to do a 2-3 minute soundtrack for filmmakers, and filmmakers to do a 2-3 minute film for composers.

The entries for the second Cinema SoundEX will screen at the July MASC Event, 8pm, Wednesday 7 July, at Happy (118 Tory Street).

The event will also feature live music performances from Taboosister, Tony Wilson, and The Capitals.

The Music & Artists' Social Club will also have our 2010 AGM at Happy from 7pm on the same day. Attendees at the AGM will gain free admission to the Cinema SoundEX screening. The agenda for the AGM includes voting for new committee to take MASC into 2011.
