What happens when the game becomes a reality? When a freak accident transports Alex and his mother Rosie into his favourite computer game Fablestory, they’re thrown from negotiating the daily grind to outwitting mythical creatures. This is not going to be a typical day.
Directed by 2009 Chapman Tripp Best Director, Leo Gene Peters, with inventive staging by Brian King, a magical score by Gareth Farr and a script by two New Zealand playwrights - this is a truthful, funny and action-packed adventure story about a family working against the odds to find their way back home.
An ideal first Downstage Theatre experience for 8 - 14 year-olds.
