A film presentation by Robin Kewell who filmed the Eden Project in Cornwall over a period of 9 years, from the seed of an idea to what it is today, described by many as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Tim Smit (co-founder of the Eden Project) always wanted Eden to be a place to showcase the "Plants that Changed the World," a place where science meets art. Sue Hill and Peter Hample, artistic directors of Eden, commissioned various sculptors and artists to produce work that would tell some of the stories.
Tonight's film event will be a special feature from Robin's archives showing the work of many of the sculptors and artists that worked side by side with the scientists to create works that tell the stories of plants. Featuring the work of Tim Shaw, Angus Watts, Peter Randall-Page, Michael Chakin, Will Jackson, David Kemp, Anthony Frost, Sue Hill, and many others who were commissioned to make special pieces for this Garden of Eden.
To be held on the top floor of Lopdell House, doors open at 7pm.
Bookings phone 817 8087 x201 or call into the gallery shop.
