Taupō Museum is proud to present the excellence of Ngāti Tūwharetoa’s unique visual culture, artists and their work during Matariki (Maori New Year). Visit the Museum to celebrate the cultural heritage and identity of Ngāti Tūwharetoa. This vibrant exhibition will bring together a cluster of emerging talent as well as local and established artists living beyond the area to share their visually poetic and innovative visual voice through an exciting range of contempary and customary media.

Professional guide and chef Tom Laughlin shares his knowledge of historical Maori food culture and the methods used in pre-European times.
