Learn about the science of sound and how music is made in an interactive exhibition toured by Te Manawa Museums Trust.

Explore how it is created and measured, how it travels, and the technology of sound manipulation. Discover how musicians get different notes from their string, wind or percussion instruments. You'll be able to find out by strumming giant harps, striking gamelans, playing the slap-a-phone (bongo
pipes), or tickling the ivories of a giant keyboard.

Entry to the exhibition is included in the general admission to the museum. Adult $12, Child $5.50, Family (1 adult & 3 children) $16, Family (2 adults & 3 children) $28.
