Rotorua collector Ken Thomasen owns a large collection of C A Clarke & Sons bottles.
For over 90 years the Clarke family operated an aerated water business in Rotorua. Their first factory (in a small corrugated iron hut) was set-up on the banks of the Utuhina Stream in 1884. In 1907 the firm shifted to the north end of Tutanekai Street, and in 1967 moved to a new and bigger factory on Te Ngae Road.
