Auckland Jazz & Blues Club Presents: Nola Mills – (Harmonica) & The Gersh-Swing Trio

Nola Mills is without doubt New Zealand’s Queen of Jazz Harmonica and one of only six professional female harmonica players in the world.

Nola now performs at major festivals, both in New Zealand and Australia.

Being an admirer of such great players as Toots Thielemans and Larry Adler, her repertoire is drawn not only from their extensive songbooks but also from the songs of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Johnny Mercer, Henry Mancini and Harold Arlen.

Local songstress Helen Brown will enhance the magnificent songs in Nola’s repertoire.
The Gersh-Swing Trio is led by Nola’s long time arranger/musical director, and fellow Cantabrian, Rocky Moore on keyboards. Bassist Trevor Gissing and drummer Bruce King
