The Tasman Brass Ensemble plays a wide variety of music, ranging from Bach to the Beatles, blending wonderfully from trumpet to tuba and creating magic in mood and colour.
The Tasman Brass Ensemble was formed in the summer of 2008, but they sound like they have been playing together for decades. Not surprising, given the talent of nationally distinguished bands-people such as Steve and Alice Rudhall, Mike Ford, Chris Lawton and Nick Sharpe.
Expect to hear some gems from the ensemble’s newly released CD 'On the Rocks', described as fabulous and given nine ‘thumbs-ups’ by the Otago Daily Times.
