Chet Baker - 'Like Someone in Love' combines beautifully melodic music, raw dialogue and insight into the heart of legendary jazz trumpeter Chet Baker.
Through songs and narrative, the play looks at his success, his weaknesses, his demise and sudden death. Did he fall from a hotel window in Amsterdam in a drugged haze or throw himself out when his talent could no longer save him? Writer and performer David Goldthorpe has written a ‘love letter to Chet’, honed and polished by director David Lawrence and musical director Tim Solly.
