With a background in horticulture and his own landscape company, artist Jonathan Bowman’s (Bojo Design) outdoor sculptures use steel, stone and timber together and individually to explore and satisfy his interest in texture, form and colour.
He has recently been working on indoor sculptures in various media, and creating and gathering articles and photographs sourced from the natural environment, allowing a different forum for expression.
“So often we go through our day, weeks and seasons unaware or overlooking everyday things in nature and the environment that we probably noticed as carefree children but not as our maturity gained busyness. I was intrigued by the changes in the animal and plant kingdoms throughout the seasons and wanted to draw attention to some of these.”
Pieces are created to inspire positive minds and give substance, pleasure and intrigue to a space.
