Albrecht Stoecklein has a passion for energy efficient solar design. He trained as a physicist in Germany and spent most of his career in the energy and design field. After immigrating to New Zealand 15 years ago, Albrecht joined the Building Research Association of New Zealand where he was a Senior Scientist responsible for several large research projects aiming to understand how New Zealanders use energy in their homes and what the barriers to more energy efficient homes are.
Albrecht will cover some fundamentals of energy use and heat losses and storage, principles of energy efficient home solar design, heating (and cooling ) technology choices, water heating options and renewable energy generation.
So come and bring along those energy questions which you always wanted to get answered.
