Yoga during pregnancy will help to strengthen your back to reduce or eliminate back pain from carrying, help with the birth by opening the hips and groin and also increase circulation of blood around the body. These classes are designed to help with pregnancy and birth, and help to keep you safe from some poses taught in regular classes. These workshops are recommended after the end of the first trimester and are for all levels from beginners to experienced women. Please bring a mat and blanket.

Alissa Tosswill - Alissa has a double degree in Physical Education and Human Nutrition as well as a Certificate in Pregnancy and Post-Natal Yoga which means she is very passionate about developing healthy lifestyles for our children. Through working as the Active Movement Advisor for Sport Auckland Alissa discovered that there was a need in the community for a service to support parents in providing positive movement and nutrition experiences from birth to three years. Eat Play Grow was born and as part of this service Alissa has created Play Flex Stretch and Play Yoga classes where the parent can naturally exercise while baby participates in activities that will assist with development.
