The Band of the Year Gala Concert comprises the closing event of the 2010 New Zealand Brass Bands Championships.

In “the Battle of the South”, Ascot Park Hotel Brass (Invercargill), St Kilda Brass (Dunedin) and Woolston Brass (Christchurch) will play a selection of popular music and compete for the coveted Band of the Year 2010 title.

The concert will conclude with the National Youth Band playing a selection of music from its recently successful national tour.
