Two iconic albums performed track by track over two iconic shows.

Thurs 29th July - Killjoy
Friday 30th July - The General Electric

Few bands can lay claim to a truly Iconic album during a career.
Far fewer still can lay claim to several.
One band that can is Shihad.

In support of this stone cold fact, this July and August, Shihad will embark on a series of two-night performances in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Night one will consist of a full song-by-song live run through of Killjoy, with Shihad repeating the process with The General Electric on night two. Suffice to say all dates on this highly anticipated tour will sell-out.

With nods from rock comrades Dave Grohl, Iggy Pop and Metallica, gold and platinum album sales, and sold out tour after sold out tour Shihad remain as vital today as they were when first smashing stages twenty one years ago.

Already renown as one of the best live bands in the world, this July and August Shihad will perform some of the most unique and compelling performances of their astonishing career. Come and witness!

Killjoy (1995)
You Again, Gimme Gimme, The Call, Envy, Deb's Night Out, Bitter, For What You Burn, Silvercup, Get Up

The General Electric (1999)
Intro, My Mind's Sedate, The General Electric, Wait and See, Pacifier, Thin White Line, Only Time, Just Like Everybody Else, Sport and Religion, Spacing, The Metal Song, Life in Cars, Brightest Star

Renown for their consistently adrenalising shows Shihad have chosen the perfect match support act that will amp up fans in preparation for the main event for their Christchurch and Auckland shows.

The Heavy Metal Ninjas are Richie Allan on lead guitar, Minor 5th (Stu Kora) on rhythm and backing solo guitar, Joe Brownless on drums, Fran Kora on bass guitar and Quasar (Laughton Kora) on rhythm/stunt guitar and keys. The Heavy Metal Ninjas are a heavy instrumental band fresh to the scene, but some members should be very familiar to their fans. They describe their sound as heavy gut-wrenching riffs, fast guitar, with angelic orchestrated melodies.

In the coveted hometown Wellington support slot is Cairo Knife Fight. Cairo Knife Fight is the dangerous twosome Nick Gaffaney, a man who has drummed his way around the place for many of our leading songwriters, and Aaron Tokona, the founder and front man of iconic rock group Weta. Spitting on the rock band rule book, it’s the drummer stepping out of the shadows to lead. One loop station, a synth and a couple of guitar amps can generate massive noise in the right hands. www.myspace.com/cairoknifefight
