6.30pm Exchange
Written and directed by Lauren Jackson.
Break out your lederhosen and moisten your strudel – the wall has come down and here comes the class of 1994. Five kiwi kids are about to experience the trip of a lifetime when they take on Germany. How will they cope with the language, the culture shock and the numerous stereotypes? Will they get lost in translation or discover there really is more
8pm Thinning
By Eli Kent, directed by Laurel Devenie.
School's out forever! Yeah right. In the limbo time between the end of high school and 'real life', a group of teenagers leave their city lives behind to go apple thinning. Join best mates Isaac, Adam, Troy, Lily, Fraggle and Billie as they break-up, hook-up, fall in love, get drunk, fall over and come out in one last explosive summer together before they might never see each other again.
Eli is the author of several award-winning plays including The Intricate Art of Actually Caring and Rubber Turkey.
9.30pm Fitz Bunny Lust for Glory
By Grant Buist, directed by Simon Coleman.
It’s a cartoon! It’s a musical-comedy! It's Rocky Horror meets Monty Python!
The inspirational true story of rock star Fitz Bunny as she battles to become the first rabbit Super-Mayor of Auckland is a tale of Bolshevik sheep, global thermonuclear war, and four-part harmony singing, based on the cult cartoon strip Brunswick by Grant Buist.
