This event has been postponed and will now take place on Wednesday 28th July 2010.

5 – 7pm Snow Jam and Red Bull Hummer with Red Bull DJs (City).

AUT’s Wellesley Street campus will be transformed into a snowboard Mecca for the first-ever AuSM Snow Jam on July 21, as part of... AuSM's Winter Fest re-orientation programme.

AuSM (Auckland Student Movement at AUT) has teamed up with FTB Snowboarding to bring the one-time invitational snowboarding exhibition to Auckland City.

FTB has been gaining a reputation for its street jams after including the Taka' Throw Down on Takapuna Beach, which saw thousands of spectators turn out to catch a glimpse of the action.

Utilising the gladiatorial arena of Hikuwai Plaza, 20 of New Zealand's top riders will do battle in a two-hour jam session. With an engineered structure from Camelspace towering above the courtyard and tonnes of snow the stage is set for a showdown of momentous proportions.

Boarders will be "competing" for the honour of the crowd and claim to the FTB/AuSM Rail King title. Less sort after, will be the Kings&Fools nomination of Rail Jester - given for the worst slam or wipeout on the night.

Expect to see some technical combos from the up-and-coming youngsters and some solid hammers from the old dogs.

The AuSM Snow Jam will erupt at 5pm and be followed by an after-party at AUT's own Vesbar, with music from Red Bull DJs. The Snow Jam is free and open to the public.

7pm onwards - R18 after party at Vesbar with guest DJs.
