NZSO with Elizabeth Marvelly

Young Kiwi singing superstar Elizabeth Marvelly will feature in a special charity performance with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (NZSO) at the Hilton Auckland with the proceeds of the event going to Variety –The Children’s Charity.

“We are delighted to be partnering with the NZSO for this exclusive performance on Sunday 25th July, which is courtesy of Pacific Blue, a sponsor of both organisations,” said Lorraine Taylor, CEO of Variety – The Children’s Charity, which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary of helping sick, disabled and disadvantaged Kiwi kids to reach their full potential.

In the elegant setting of the Hilton ballroom, the NZSO will entertain guests with orchestral music by Mozart and Rossini while Marvelly will make her debut appearance with the orchestra and will be performing selected popular classics arranged for orchestra by Carl Doy.

Tickets cost only $45 per person and include a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival and a refreshing cup of tea or coffee at the conclusion of the performance at which time guests will have a unique opportunity to mingle with the NZSO musicians.

“Proceeds from this event will be allocated towards funding a life-changing insulin pump for a child with diabetes, providing them with an alternative to regular injections - the pumps cost up to $7,500 each, which often puts them beyond the reach of many families, and Variety is one of few organisations that provides funding for them,” said Ms Taylor.

“Event sponsor, the Hilton Auckland, is offering a special two course lunch at the conclusion of the event for only $39.50 per person,” said Ms Taylor.

“Support from organsiations like Pacific Blue, NZSO and the Hilton Auckland is invaluable to us in helping as many Kiwi kids as possible,” she concluded.
