Black Seeds Step In To Play Native Noise ‘10

Following the late withdrawal of headline act KORA, fellow local dub-reggae heavyweights The Black Seeds will now feature alongside 1814 and Six60 at the sold out Native Noise ’10 concert tonight in Auckland.
Concert organiser Ren Blair says while he is disappointed to not have KORA play “we fully understand their decision, which was made for family reasons, and wish them well.
Due to a last minute delay to the start of their North American tour, The Black Seeds have been able to step in for KORA and also send their best wishes to the band and hope to do justice to Native Noise. The Black Seeds will leave for Canada the following day where they will start the North American tour with sold-out shows in Vancouver and Whistler.
“This is our fourth sold out year presenting Native Noise in Auckland and we appreciate that Aucklanders have really got in behind the event and supported it,” Mr Blair says. “With the addition of The Black Seeds we have an outstanding festival of Aotearoa music. It’s going to be a great night.”
The Native Noise concert at Auckland Town Hall, THE EDGE, is part of Matariki Festival 10, Auckland’s region wide month-long festival including more than 100 events to mark Matariki.
“Be prepared for another massive Native Noise experience.”
