Come see New Zealand's first winner of the Juice TV Metal Video award In Dread Response, supported by some of New Zealand's most brutal heavy metal acts.
In Dread Response:
Having spent the better part of two years preparing their exceptional live act it becomes very evident it's been far too long since you have seen this amount of energy and power on stage.
With their music based on melody and intensity, In Dread Response succeeds in evoking emotions usually reserved for tragic epic movie moments and near death experiences.
Combining all these elements makes for a very addictive listening experience and an even more hair raising live experience.

MetalTower:
MetalTower is, was, and shall be since ages ago, but as it stands now, rose out of a torrential storm of Double Brown that hit Gisborne, New Zealand, in the summer of 2004/2005. MetalTower is equipped with an impressive array of aural assault weapons such as two lead guitars, a fretless finger bass, violently uncompromising drums, and some sort of vocalistic abysmalism.
With a set that embraces all aspects of metal (and some outside it), MetalTower leaves many an audience with naught to do but stare vacantly as they attempt to comprehend. Stumped for a genre name to pin to their brand of uninhibited madness, MetalTowerions were often heard to remark, "We just play normal metal," unwittingly penning their own genre name, normal metal. However, standing around the stew pot one evening they discovered that they were actually progressive corecore, a subgenre of everythingcore, closely related to technical stuffcore. MetalTower have also been known to dabble in elements of professional mistakecore. Trying to sound more brutal MetalTower have begun to play a brand of relentless gnattering that can only be described as 'Foetus dying in the womb of a woman whose husband's away at war dying on the battlefield' metal.

Upraw:
Definition of Upraw: (1) A raw outburst/storm of dark emotion, particularly anger/rage/fury/etc. (2) An 8-legged demon of torment and hatred (3) Heavy metal band made up of four members that, because of the nature of things, can fall under the following: anger/despair/hatred/other associated forms of dark emotion (see The Human Condition and Existence).
Upraw are simply heavy. Since their humble beginnings, Upraw have come a long way and seen a lot of hard times. But with each obstacle, they rose to the challenge and came out better and more determined than ever to bring their brand of metal to the masses. A brand that shows only the cold, hard truth in all it's furious glory, without dressing it up.
Upraw have now started redefining their sound into something darker, heavier and altogether more brutal than anything they have done thus far. As always, the themes are real and totally hard-hitting, coming from several lifetimes of shared experiences. If people take something away with them or feel a connection or kinship with Upraw after hearing their songs, that is always a big compliment in itself for the band. But, when playing live, all Upraw cares about is bringing a whole other level of intensity and energy to the raw collective and the entirety of their fellow brothers and sisters in metal, and extolling the virtues of 'having some fun in the here-and-now' because they don't like to be seen as anything bigger than the fans purely because they are right there in the pit and on the level with the fans, always.
Their mission is simple. Cause an Upraw in as brutal a way as possible wherever they go and in whatever they do, and have fun while doing it! In saying that, stay heavy to all, and to all, stay heavy!
