Students of The Film & Television School have taken nine of the 101 stories about 20th century Wellington in the Telling Tales exhibition, and made short films about them.

The films take an original look at events such as Wellington's first car, the launch of Tip Top icecream, and two street battles over racial discrimination, in Manners Street in 1943 and Molesworth Street during the 1981 Springbok tour.

The films can be seen daily from 10am to 5pm for free. And December 2008 these films will be refreshed with a new set of films from documentary Film School students.
