Launched by Out in the Square – Wellington’s annual gay and lesbian fair, the Proud 2010 Festival is a veritable ‘What’s on!’ of rainbow events.
Pubs, clubs, parties, concerts and gigs, health promotion activities, social networking events, speed-dating, history walks, champagne and chocolate tasting, kite-flying, and picnics … the events canvass every part of the community!
Proud 2009 was so successful that we’ve been able to extend the timeframe to a fortnight of events for Proud 2010!
Look out for our official programme in venues across Wellington, but here are a few of the Proud 2010 events:
• Devious 2010 – Wellington’s wildest party of the year at Shed 6
• Proud Pool Party – hosted by celebrity personal trainer Julz Darroch at the Thorndon Pool
• LOL – Laugh Out Loud standup comedy gig at The Fringe Bar
• Bro Online Beach Party and Model Search – jump on the party bus to Breaker Bay for a BBQ
• Pleasure Palate – chocolate and wine tasting at Butler’s Chocolate Café
• Bingay – camp bingo with The Duchesse at S&M’s Bar
Plus the Get it On! Party at the Garden Bar promises phat tunes and hot prizes
