Struggling to figure out something wholesome to do with the whole family during the school holidays? Does it feel like you are always trying to pry them away from some form of electronic entertainment? How amazing would it be to have them running through tall grass in a meadow, pet a cow, pick fresh organic blueberries, and then take a small class where the would learn hands on about the world they live in. Then Earth Camp at the Blueberry Farm is for you.
Every day of the school holidays is a different adventure for families into organics. Your child will get out in the sunshine, get to pick organic blueberries, and will learn something new about the world they live in. Activities change daily so check the schedule for the one that is happening the day you want to come to the farm.
Some of the activities include:
Haybale gardens
Organic art and sculpture building
Nature walks
Natural pigment painting
Mudbrick making,
Worm farming
Organic Baking
Permaculture Gardening
Backyard poultry
much more....
Don't forget your togs. The best fresh water swimming hole in the Wellington region is located on the farm and is available from 10-5 Tuesday - Sunday.
Also children are wanted for our book we are making about the Earth Camp activities? Wouldn't you love to see your child in the pages of a book about an award winning program? Then have a look on the website and read about the Blueberry Farm Kids book to learn more. You will be helping two great causes in the process.
