City Nippers courses allow kids who do not live near a surf beach to experience what it takes to become a Surf Lifeguard, while learning skills that a lay the foundation for a lifetime of family fun at the beach.
The courses, run by qualified Surf Lifeguards, are fun as well as educational, teaching essential surf safety skills and helping to build confidence in the water. Children learn a range of skills including how to wade, duck dive under waves and boogie board. Kids will also participate in beach games, and a surf safety theory topic each week.
