UK-based New Zealander Brendan Power is acknowledged by many as one of the most creative, skilled & versatile harmonica players around today.
Equally at ease on both the earthy Blues Harp as well as the sophisticated Chromatic Harmonica, he tunes them to his own scales to create a highly original style. He has recorded fifteen solo CDs to date, in a wide variety of musical genres.
For his 2010 tour, Brendan joins forces with New Zealand born, Sydney based singer-songwriter Wayne Gillespie. Wayne's first album, ‘Wayward Son’ was released on his own independent label in June 1984. The album was acclaimed by the NZ rock press and made the finals of the New Zealand Music awards in the Most Promising Vocalist & Folk Album of the Year categories. The song ‘Away With You’ also won an APRA NZ songwriting award in the same year.
