What’s New

Have you tried the famous wild rocket from the Silwoods stall? Or their purslane – this is a European salad green - containing alpha-linolenic acid, one of the highly sought-after Omega-3 fatty acids. Or try their tiny micro greens (with our without edible flowers). If you are creating baked vegetable platters (drizzled with award winning olive oil from Karaka Olives at the market) try adding some coloured baby carrots or baby beets. From P Potter - “What was in your delicious salad? What were the long thin things - beetroot?” I managed to keep friends and family guessing – they were purple baby carrots.

Hester Bell is with us with her violin this week for the music slot.

Bring a friend and hurry along to the market early for the pick of seasonal produce then relax with coffee, hot breakfast food or baked delights, in the ambient surroundings next to the Domain. The market is in the car park behind the brick Jubilee Building, home to the Parnell Library and Parnell Trust.

Free parking for 90 cars during market hours at 47 George Street – these are graciously supplied by our neighbour AECOM, across the street from the George Street market entrance.

Parnell Trust has been working in a community development role since 1982, seeking to create and strengthen social links through shared cultural, recreational and educational activities. As a result we offer a diverse and interesting portfolio of programmes and services.
