What’s New

Flowers that are fresh today from Eureka Nurseries are the ever elegant white and purple orchids in pots. Or perhaps you enjoy hot coloured Anthuriums for cut flowers that should last 6 weeks (also come in pale green, white, and every warm colour from lipstick pink to deep red).

This week fresh Horseradish will be for sale from the Asian Greens stall – it is stunning made into cream (so easy – see Annabel Langbein “Eat Fresh” for the recipe) and served with brie or camembert on crackers, or as Annabel suggests, on steak.

Music this week is Matt Innes singing folk music with guitar backup.

Bring a friend and hurry along to the market early for the pick of seasonal produce then relax with coffee, hot breakfast food or baked delights, in the ambient surroundings next to the Domain. The market is in the car park behind the brick Jubilee Building, home to the Parnell Library and Parnell Trust.

Free parking for 90 cars during market hours at 47 George Street – these are graciously supplied by our neighbour AECOM, across the street from the George Street market entrance.

Parnell Trust has been working in a community development role since 1982, seeking to create and strengthen social links through shared cultural, recreational and educational activities. As a result we offer a diverse and interesting portfolio of programmes and services.
