This event happens every year, the Big Prize is the Snapper Mystery Weight $2010 plus Rod & Reel. The mystery weight prizes will be open to all snapper & kahawai handed in for weighing.
Other prizes will be for the heaviest Trevally. 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Kahawai: Mystery Weight $200 & Heaviest. 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
Gurnard: Heaviest 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
All 1st prize winners will get money and Rod & Reel.
Each ticket is entitled to weigh 3 Snapper only.
Also your tickets has a lucky ticket no.
All fish handed in will be sold by auction at the conclusion of the prize giving in the Opononi Hotel Carpark at 4.30pm.
Childrens Competitions: Sand Sculpture comp & Treasure Hunt is on the beach at Opononi 10:00am
Sprat Fishing Contest: 11:30am Opononi Wharf.
