After a period in recess, Bruce Morley’s newly-revived Little Big Band (LBB) will play a casual, “off-Broadway preview” of their upcoming Music in Parks concert.

January 27th 2010 at St Kevins Arcade on Karangahape Rd.

Conceived as a “big-band-in-a-small-package” for both players and writers, the LBB has seen some well-known Kiwi jazz musicians pass through its ranks over the years, many contributing original compositions and arrangements along the way.

The band’s current line-up is Richard Singleton (trumpet), Jim Langabeer (saxes, flute, clarinet), Ross Hurley (trombone), Craig Willams (bass), Trevor Thwaites (vibraphone) Stephen Galvin (guitar), Bruce Morley (drums). Bruce says: “All of these players are bandleaders themselves, so it really is a Little Big Band.”
