The long-awaited collection exhibition 'Brought to Light' opens its doors at the Christchurch Art Gallery and will not fail to impress with its dramatic transformation.
On November 28, hundreds of works from the Gallery's collection will go on show in completely refreshed and reshaped galleries. This will be the first full rehang of the collection since Christchurch Art Gallery opened in this new building six-and-a-half years ago.
Titled Brought to Light: A New View of the Collection, the exhibition will feature previously seldom-seen works, a great many new ones, and plenty of new conversations amongst old favourites. In the meantime you can watch some of the work in progress on the monitor near the top of the stairs.
Spectacularly reconfigured exhibition spaces feature a dynamic mix of new and seldom-seen works, as well as new conversations among old favourites.
Come along and soak up the exhibition, along with the huge variety of opening weekend events.
