Composed especially for the 35 degree South tour, by South Africans, Michael Blake and Mokale Koapeng, exploring the themes of the deserts.
The delicate, fragile sounds of the traditional bows-rich in overtones are sampled, amplified and transformed in an unusal ensemble with marimba, vibraphone and piano.
By way of contrast, two of Blake's Pattern-making percussion pieces complete the programme.
