Damian Skinner, curator of 1839 Exchanges: Jewellery by Jason Hall, will discuss the life and times of F E Maning, a famous Pakeha-Maori and author of the 'rollicking tale' Old New Zealand. He will also delve into the challenges of making contemporary jewellery that 'grapples with history in Aotearoa.' Damian Skinner is a curator and writer who lives in Gisborne.
